Jewish cemeteries in Lokhvytsia

According to eyewitnesses, the boundaries of the cemetery, in comparison with 1939, have significantly decreased due to nearby buildings and agricultural land. During and after World War II, the cemetery succumbed to acts of vandalism.

Local authorities, as well as representatives of the Lokhvytsia Jewish community, periodically clear the territory of vegetation and clean gravestones. It is worth noting that the most significant threats to the old Jewish cemetery today are uncontrolled access, vandalism, weather erosion and vegetation.
