Jewish Cemetery Ugnoye-2

Cemetery "Ugnoye-2" is located behind the village Tsagelnya in the so-called green zone at km 14 on highway Chernihiv, Gomel region (Republic of Belarus). The first burials were located here, date from the second half of the 20th century. Some of the last – beginning of the 2000s. At the moment officially closed. At present, there subburials permitted only on existing fenced areas. Cemetery "Ugnoye -2" is mixed, that is, there are buried the representatives of various nationalities and religions. However, a significant part of the burials – Jewish, about 2/3 of the whole territory. Most graves and monuments is in an acceptable condition, 1426 Jewish graves are equipped with readable plates with biographical information. Himself Jewish sector is directly in the center of the cemetery. The General condition of the graves and monuments can be called good."Ugnoye -2" is considered to be one of the few cemeteries, which ensured the proper care and attention. The care of graves is carried out by volunteers and relatives of those who are here found final rest.
